Sweet mouth-watering fruits, cheap clothes, fresh fish and amazing people, welcome to the markets of El Salvador!
Every time I arrive in a new country, I try and start my trip by discovering the local markets. WHY? Well first of all, they are some perfect places to meet locals and learn about their cultures, traditions and their culinary specialties.
Secondly, the numerous interactions between people in such an authentic and colourful place makes it a great opportunity for street photography!
Below are some pictures I took in the open market of Santa Tecla, a municipality in the La Libertad department and in San Miguel. One of the biggest city of El Salvador located in the south east of the country.
